Sorry, this video is not out there any extra.

A fantastic white shark has been filmed attacking and killing a a lot bigger humpback whale for the primary time within the waters off South Africa.

The vicious assault was filmed by drone by Ryan Johnson, a marine biologist, who mentioned the complete incident lasted about 50 minutes. It’s the primary time scientists have recorded footage of a shark taking down a whale of this measurement.

What makes it extraordinary is how tactical the shark seems to be with the kill.

The predator managed to sever an artery within the whale’s tail – it’s weakest half – earlier than dragging it underwater to drown.

Within the footage, the blood from the severed tail will be seen spooling into the blue water.

Though humpbacks will often assault sharks, it’s very uncommon for it to be the opposite means round.

‘The shark was very strategic about it, there was no hesitation, it was as if she knew precisely learn how to go about it,’ Ryan Johnson informed The Instances.

‘The primary strike was on the whale’s tail, the thin half above the flukes the place she might get her mouth all the best way round.

‘She managed to open a vein and blood instantly began pluming out.’

The assault occurred off the coast of Port Elizabeth in South Africa and the good white is definitely recognized to researchers – she’s referred to as Helen.

‘Helen seemed very knowledgeable about what she was doing, which made me interested in whether or not she was an skilled whale killer, was appearing on intuition or on plain intelligence by detecting her prey was weak,’ Mr Johnson mentioned.
